The righteous man:
- trusts the Lord
- has good intentions
- cultivate faithfulness by feasting on God's faithfulness
- delights in God
- is committed to God's ways
- rests in God
- waits patiently in the Lord
- ceases from anger
- forsakes wrath
- is humble
- is gracious
- freely gives and lends to others
- speaks wisdom
- speaks justice
- waits for the Lord
- keeps God's ways
- is peaceful
- is strong in God
- has descendants who are a blessing
- keeps God's law in his heart
- is blameless
- is upright
- will have a future
- and takes his refuge in God
That's amazing ... and I have a long way to go ... but, with these the Lord offers numerous promises, due the man's righteous ways:
- He will give him the desires of his heart
- He will bring forth his righteousness
- the man will inherit the land
- He will delight him with abundant posterity
- Blesses the righteous man
- He never forsakes him, but preserves him
- He exalts the righteous man
- God saves him
- God strengthens him
- and God helps and delivers the righteous man
